FIAMMA IZZO D'AMICO
(Rome, July 25, 1964) is an Italian dialogueist and singer.
He is especially noted for giving voice to Jennifer Beals in Flashdance, Minnie Driver in the Ghost of the Opera and Puffetta in the Smurfs.
He is a prominent figure in the famed Izzo family (dubbing directors, dubbing, dialogues) working in the direction of dubbing and adaptation of the dialogues of some major American film films of recent years such as Scarlet Letter, Boys Don 'T Cry, The Crow, Conflict of Interest, Angela's Ashes, Bagger Vance's Legend, The Bridget Jones Journal, Chicago, The Ghost of the Opera and the X-Men Cinema.
Graduated at the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia, he was also a remarkable soprano, one of the last discoveries of the great Austrian director Herbert von Karajan. He did not interpret many works but was distinctly distinguished in Don Carlo of Verdi (in the role of Elisabetta) and in La bohème and Tosca by Giacomo Puccini.
He retired from his musical career around the second half of the nineties.
In July 2008 he won the Golden Lion for the direction of dubbing.
She is the daughter of singer Renato Izzo and sister of Rossella, Simona and Giuppy Izzo.
Even her three daughters, Red Caputo and Lilian Caputo (having her first marriage) and Anita Valenzi are double-cheaters.
